Mission The mission of the National Association of Professional Organizers is to develop, lead, and promote professional organizers and the organizing industry.


Membership A professional organizer enhances the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and by transferring organizing skills. A professional organizer also educates the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits. NAPO (pronounced NAY-poh) currently has close to 4,000 members throughout the U.S. and in 8 other countries.


Meetings

Annual Conference: Held each spring in different locations.

Future Conference Sites
2009: April 29-May 2, Caribe Royale, Orlando, Florida

Board of Directors: Meets once each quarter.

Local Chapters: Regular meetings are held; frequency varies by chapter.



Publications

NAPO News: Bimonthly newsletter with information and news about the field of organizing including industry trends, articles from members, and information relevant to running a successful organizing business.



Referral Service

When the general public calls NAPO's national hotline, visits the NAPO online referral service, or writes seeking an organizer, names and telephone numbers within the geographical area are provided from NAPO headquarters at no charge.



Public Relations

NAPO headquarters actively solicits national publicity for NAPO and for the field of professional organizing. NAPO sponsors Get Organized MonthSM annually in January. The association is also a proud national coalition member of National Preparedness Month which takes place in September.



Education NAPO offers educational materials, including digital audio files of the annual conference workshops.


Chapter Affiliation

Chapter membership is voluntary, and contingent upon national membership. There are dozens of chapters within the United States, and several Chapters-In-Formation.



Tax Status NAPO is a not-for-profit organization, having met the IRS Tax Code 501(c)3 requirements.
