2008 NAPO Award Recipients

Congratulations to NAPO’s 2008 Award Winners!

The following award winners were honored during the 2008 NAPO Annual Conference held in Reno, Nevada from April 9-12, 2008:

Service to NAPO Award: Barry Izsak, for his many years of unwavering commitment and dedication

President’s Award: NAPO-Los Angeles Chapter, for their model of innovation, the Los Angeles Organizing Awards

Shining Star Award: Chris McKenry, John Trosko, and Jodie Watson for their involvement in the NAPO-Los Angeles Chapter’s model of innovation, the Los Angeles Organizing Awards

Associate Member Award: Brother, for its steadfast commitment to NAPO
and the professional organizing industry

Founders’ Award
Criteria: The Founders’ Award is presented to a NAPO member or a group of NAPO members acting in concert, for outstanding contributions to the organizing profession. It is given in the spirit of the Founders of NAPO to a member or group of members acting in concert who helped to move the organizing profession forward. We admire and respect the recipient’s professionalism and achievements and are proud to say that they are part of our profession.

Award Winner: Monica Ricci, for her outstanding contributions to the organizing profession

Organizing Excellence Award
Criteria: The Organizing Excellence Award is presented to a local individual or group that has demonstrated outstanding values and achieved measurable results through their organizational efforts. This award is presented not only because of their achievement but also because the results of their efforts are tied directly to their organizational capability. The search for worthy recipients may be considered in the following categories: Business, Community, Education, Family, or Heroic Valor.
Award Winner: Evelyn Mount of Reno Community Outreach, for her organizing excellence in community service
